Californians for Jobs and Safe Communities

Californians for Jobs and Safe Communities is a coalition of employees, businesses and community leaders dedicated to saving California’s Enterprise Zones.

Enterprise Zones are among the few incentives available in local communities to attract businesses and retain jobs.  Enterprise Zones have allowed people throughout the state to realize their dreams of owning their own business, investing in their community and supporting growth in under-served areas.

In 2011, Governor Jerry Brown proposed eliminating Enterprise Zones to help close the state’s chronic budget deficits.  But the program – a proven job creator and tax generator – is one of the very few tools the state has at its disposal to attract new business and create jobs, especially in some of our most distressed communities.

Together, we were able to fight off the attack on Enterprise Zones.  But our work is far from over.

Join our coalition today and help our state’s leaders understand the value of the Enterprise Zone program.

The coalition would like to thank all of our supporters.  Please click here to donate to Californians for Jobs and Safe Communities so we can keep fighting for job creation and economic development in California.
