EDA - Economic Development Area - includes Enterprise Zones, LAMBRAs, MEAs, and TTAs

EDD - Employment Development Department

EZ - Enterprise Zone - special state and local incentives are offered to businesses located in an Enterprise Zone to encourage business investment.

FTB - Franchise Tax Board

G-TEDA - Geographically-targeted economic development areas - such as an EZ, TTA, MEA, and LAMBRA

HCD - California Department of Housing and Community Development

LAMBRA - Local Agency Military Base Recovery Area - during the rounds of military base closures and realignments, the LAMBRA program was developed to attract reinvestment to the bases.

MEA - Manufacturing Enhancement Area - similar to Enterprise Zones, MEAs are focused on stimulating the economy in the border regions with special state and local incentives.

TTA - Targeted Tax Area - a program similar to the Enterprise Zone program, a TTA offeres incentives to manufacturing companies in a specific trade or business (determined by SIC Codes).
